Windows Installation

Note: We advise installing ActivInspire from a user account that has full Administrator rights on your PC.

The installation instructions provided by ActivInspire give a general overview of the installation process, to these instructions we have the following additional notes for the installation:

  1. Promethean ActivInspire Installation Instructions
  2. During the installation process on the following screen simply click NEXT

Mac OS X Installation

Note: We advise installing ActivInspire from a user account that has full Administrator rights on your PC.

The installation instructions provided by ActivInspire give a general overview of the installation process, to these instructions we have the following additional notes for the installation:

  2. During the last step of installation process on the following screen choose the Extra Options you want for your installation:

  3. Upon starting the Application on OS X you may be prompted to install Java 6 for OS X in order to run ActivInspire

    4. Note: Java 6 is an older version of java that is unsupported and deprecated by Oracle but is required for installation and function of ActivInspire for Mac. Before downloading ITS suggests reading the documentation on the below link before downloading and or installing this version of Java.

    Java for OS X can be downloaded directly from Apple here.

Activation for ActivInspire

  1. Upon starting ActivInspire for the first time you will be greeted with the following activation wizard

    2. In the window pictured below supply the Activation Key you received via email from the request form located here.
